The Fulton School
Hi everyone, I thought I’d give an update on what I did this week!
Getting to the end of the first week, I’m beginning to settle in the schedule at made for myself to keep myself on track.
Here’s my schedule:
9:00- Wake up
10:30- Studying
12:00- Lunch
1:30- Arts and Crafts (I plan to finish one art project each week)
3:30- Reading (I plan to finish one book each week)
4:30- Workout
5:30 Studying
My family usually has dinner at 6-6:30 and that’s when I’m done for the day.
Right now, studying for me includes online classes through Udemy and Blueprint, and I’m also planning and doing a research project on a different animal each week (except this past week). I’ll make some sort of way to present it and I’ll share it with everyone on my blog posts.
This week, for my art project, I learned how to cross stitch! It was pretty simple, Mom taught me how to do it, and I’ve already ordered some more patterns to try out.
Most weeks I’m going to switch between writing and a visual craft from day to day. But, this week I just spent time on the cross stitch.
For reading this week, I finished a book called The Reader by Traci Chee. It’s a fantasy book, the first in a series. I started it a while ago and took this week as an opportunity to finally finish it. I really enjoyed it, it has very good world building, and the description was very vivid. I’ll have to find the next book in the series.
Unfortunately, I am no longer planning to volunteer at the rabbit house, but I’m hoping to try out lots of new crafts/hobbies and learn about some things I’m interested in!

The skull looks so cool! Do you know what your next art project will be?
I ordered a couple of cross-stitch projects, I think my next one will be an owl!
Sounds like a fulfilling week! I admire how you keep an consistent schedule. Any tip on how to follow through your plans / what if it’s craft time but you’re inspired to read?
Honestly, I would advise not to stick to your plan too hard. If you do, you’ll drive yourself insane, but I think it’s important to have a schedule for some sense of normalcy.
I keep reminding myself that I have a schedule at school, but I don’t always stick to that. Sometimes, if I have nothing to do, I don’t do work during class, so if I’m feeling stumped it’s okay to let the schedule go a bit.
But as far as actually keeping yourself on schedule, you just have to make sure you leave yourself time to do all the things you want to do. I’ve got reading time and craft time. If i suddenly have inspiration for one or the other, but I really need to focus, I write down what I’m thinking and go back to it later when it’s time.
Sorry that was a really long and late answer, but I hope it’s helpful!
