During my first couple days working at US Properties I got to know the basics of working in real estate such as what sites to use when looking for properties to buy and what to look out for when you buy a property. I also began working on the company newsletters and converting physical documents into PDFs (very exciting stuff). Other than the occasional renovation, most of my work should be pretty much the same day-to-day so please forgive me if future updates feel too similar.

Wow, all I can think about when I hear the words “real estate” is Phil Dunphy from “Modern Family” and the “it’s free real estate” meme. On another note, I’m curious if real estate is something you would consider as a career or a sort of side hustle thing because I feel like there’s been a super big up tick of people becoming realtors or house flippers even though the housing market is really bad currently. Also, what are the difficulties within the real estate business in our current economic state and the current housing market? Are there certain properties that need renovations that you guys still choose to buy or do you mostly buy properties that are in good shape and require little to no updates?
