Dobby Senior Project Week 6

Monday – Shadow Chris at LIfeTime

  1. Regular towels folding.
  2. Chris’s meeting.

Wednesday – Shadow Chris at LIfeTime

  1. Regular towels folding from 10-11am. I only folded 1 hour because I felt bored and left.
  2. Chris had a confidential meeting so I have to leave.
  3. I went to the cafeteria and bought a turkey burrito bowel even I brought lunch.
  4. I talked to Markush the staff. (possibly the wrong name) He’s cool and I tried his favorite drink and I gave it a 7 out of 10.
  5. Then I asked him about that last Wednesday I saw his peer holding a plate of samples. He said those are pre-workout mix drink. And that explained why he didn’t make me try because he knows I’m not there to workout.
  6. I wonder if people actually buy it or not and he said they do. Because those who goes to LifeTime don’t usually struggle with that amount of money. On LifeTime presentation, the median household income is 145,000 $, which is upper-middle or upper income level.
  7. Then I found out LifeTime has their own magazine called Experience Life, includes basically everything related to health. There are tips for how to build your own workout plan, diet…… Examples: https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/6-exercises-for-a-healthy-spine/ https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/sleep-sweat-repeat-4-workouts-you-could-do-on-repeat/ https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/boost-testosterone-naturally/
  8. I saw a YT video on asking LifeTime members what they do for living and why they choose LIfeTime(179$/month). I have not finished that video yet.

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – Coursera

  1. It went alright.

One Comment on “Dobby Senior Project Week 6

  1. I think you should spend a day after your shift at lifetime trying the pre-workout and working out. Like Lifetime is such a crazy, nice gym, so take advantage of it, Dobby! Since I feel the need to connect everything and make everything about myself lately, I will share my working out experience. I have never taken the actual pre-workout powder. There was this one time I drank this packet of caffeinated powder that tasted like a blue raspberry jolly rancher, it was quite good and I felt pretty amped for my lifting session, but I also felt really itchy. There’s something in pre-workout that makes your skin itch so in between sets I was scratching like crazy. Sometimes, I will just drink a black coffee or a canned energy drink like a Monster or Ghost to get the energy going, but like Tashi Duncan, I don’t need a fight to get the energy going (this is a reference to the movie “Challengers”). Anyways, since I am not playing organized sports right now, I have been lifting twice a week, dancing about three to four times a week, and then going on a walk with either ankle and wrist weights or a weight vest everyday. I do really miss playing sports, but I just don’t have the time right now to do it since I am working a lot and getting home late. I don’t go to a gym because we have free weights at home and my brother has a squat rack and bench press that I can also use. I am considering joining the YMCA though since I would have access to more machines that I haven’t tried and to potentially play pickup sports.
