Mechanical Wings

I thought of this idea over the summer with my friends, because of a cosplay for a character we liked. I found some plans online and used the measurements from that, scaled up. I ended up using some scrap pieces from a two by four, and I had to get bolts and nuts of the right lengths. The wings are operated by a pulley system which connects to the bottom joint of the wings. It’s not quite finished, since I have to adjust the tightness of the bolts. I might leave this one as a prototype and maybe next year I’ll make a final version of it using aluminum pipes. If I do, I’ll probably cover it with feathers or something.
