Music Album

For my maker-space project, I’m currently writing, producing, and playing for a music album. It’s currently going along decently, but I haven’t finished it and it won’t be finished for a long time. I’ve currently written and composed the parts for about three songs, with the mastering and lyrics still to do for all three. One thing.

I’ve learned is that lyrics can be difficult to write, and it’s hard to force music to come. I’ve also learned that most of the music, melodies, and lyrics you write are both the combination of spur-of-the-moment ideas, and the building of several days, weeks, months, or more of ideas all coming together. I’ve also learned how to play certain instruments better, like the drums and keyboard, along with replicating different musical styles and genres.
