Making this bookmark is relatively easy, although there are a few things that you need to be careful and precise about. The first thing I had to do was find out how big I wanted that snake to be. After I did that I needed to draw the base of the snake. How I did that was I drew lines where I wanted everything to go and made sure all the proportions were correct. Then I had to draw the outline and start sketching the body. After I had the basic shapes of everything I had to draw the details, the eye, mouth, pattern, and all the other details, I was able to outline everything in black and could start coloring it all in. I decided to make the snake’s spots a brown and a marigold color. I used a orange colored pencil to make a tan color for the scales on the stomach, and for some shading. I used a lime green pen to do the eyes, I chose green because I thought it would stand out against the brown. Next I was able to cut it out. Since its small and has edges that would be hard to cut with scissors I had to use an exacto knife. After it was cut out it was ready to be used, it falls out easily so I always have a small book mark in with it just in case it were to fall out.
