Makerspace at the Fulton School
In Robotics, I learned how to make a car. I took four rims and four tires to make wheels. Then I took the motor for the wheels and stuck a black rod through it to make the axle. Next, I attached the wheels to the axle and created a base for the car. I had to connect each motor with the controller, so I made a base to hold the controller. The base was built out of rectangular Legos that resembled a box, connected by pins.
I coded the controller from my laptop. I had to download the EV3 app onto my computer. To make it work, it has to be plugged into my computer and the controller. You can’t control it wirelessly because they got rid of the app. I learned how to control different movements of the robot. Whether that be moving it forward or backwards. The front wheel has to be moving clockwise, and the rear wheel has to move counterclockwise to move forward, or vice versa to move backwards. Next time I’m going to make the robot be able to turn and try to make a controller that can control the controller wirelessly.
